A cup of rice, a plate of pasta and a cup of instant ramen all cost you about the same 200 to 300 calories. Look at what each one gives back, and at the sodium you are paying for it.

Nothing to confess

Built onthe morning after.

NOMI started at 312 pounds, with a plate that was mostly starch and a body that was getting nothing back from it.

The hour was never the problem. The starch was. So we rebuilt the part of the plate that had been doing nothing.

A meal's worth of protein. A snack's worth of calories.

More than half the calories in a NOMI cup come from protein. In the ramen aisle, that number is usually under 10 percent. Read any label next to ours.

Every ingredient is printed on the cup and on every product page, and our third-party test results are public. In this aisle, that’s rare. Read it.

Questions

Read before you buy.

The honest answers, including the ones that talk some people out of it. The full list is on the FAQ page.

All questions →
Is instant ramen healthy?

Most instant ramen is fried noodles with about 5 grams of protein, 40 to 55 grams of refined carbs, and 1,500mg or more of sodium. NOMI rebuilds the format: 32 grams of complete plant protein and a non-fried noodle in every cup. The rest moves by flavor — 220 to 260 calories, 14 to 21 grams of net carbs, and 630 to 700mg of sodium in Beef, Curry and Chicken, 1,183mg in Black Garlic. Same ritual, different label. Read both and decide.

How is NOMI different from other high protein ramen?

NOMI carries 32 grams of complete plant protein per cup, more than any protein ramen we know of, at 220 to 260 calories depending on flavor, with the protein kneaded into a non-fried noodle instead of a fortified packet. We publish third-party test results so you do not have to take our word for the label.

Is it really vegan?

All of it. The noodle, the broth, every topping flake. Savory Umami Beef is a flavor name, not an ingredient claim: the depth comes from shiitake, soy, sesame and spice. Black Garlic is the same — roasted garlic, ginger and pepper, no animal anything. Black Garlic is the same — roasted garlic, ginger and pepper, no animal anything.

How do I prepare NOMI?

Peel the lid halfway, pour boiling water to the line, close the lid. Five minutes, stir from the bottom, eat. Kettle over microwave. The noodle keeps its spring that way.

Can NOMI replace rice or pasta?

Yes, that is what it is built for. Drain the broth and the noodles work anywhere rice, pasta or instant noodles used to sit. Where a cup of rice gives you about 4 grams of incomplete protein, a NOMI base gives you 32 grams of complete protein for about the same calories.

Who is NOMI for?

People who read labels. People who track. Anyone tired of half the plate doing nothing. It is not for foodies chasing the most intense broth on the shelf, and we mean that without judgment.
