Ingredients

  • 1 pack NOMI Base Protein (prepared, drained)
  • 1 egg (for waffle binding)
  • 4oz fried chicken tenders or strips
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar-free maple syrup
  • 2 scallions, sliced thin
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • Hot sauce (optional)
  • Cooking spray for waffle iron

Instructions

  1. Prepare NOMI Base Protein (6 minutes). Drain completely and mix with 1 beaten egg until evenly combined.
  2. Preheat waffle iron to medium-high heat. Spray generously with cooking spray.
  3. Add noodle mixture to waffle iron, spreading evenly to edges. Close lid firmly.
  4. Cook 4-5 minutes until noodle waffle is crispy and golden. Grid pattern should be visible and distinct.
  5. While waffle cooks, heat fried chicken tenders in oven at 400°F for 5 minutes until crispy.
  6. Carefully remove noodle waffle from iron. The waffle should hold together and have defined squares.
  7. Top waffle with butter pat. Arrange fried chicken on top.
  8. Drizzle with maple syrup, garnish with scallions and sesame seeds. Add hot sauce if desired.
