Ingredients
- 1 pack NOMI Base Protein (prepared, drained)
- 1 egg (for waffle binding)
- 4oz fried chicken tenders or strips
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp sugar-free maple syrup
- 2 scallions, sliced thin
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- Hot sauce (optional)
- Cooking spray for waffle iron
Instructions
- Prepare NOMI Base Protein (6 minutes). Drain completely and mix with 1 beaten egg until evenly combined.
- Preheat waffle iron to medium-high heat. Spray generously with cooking spray.
- Add noodle mixture to waffle iron, spreading evenly to edges. Close lid firmly.
- Cook 4-5 minutes until noodle waffle is crispy and golden. Grid pattern should be visible and distinct.
- While waffle cooks, heat fried chicken tenders in oven at 400°F for 5 minutes until crispy.
- Carefully remove noodle waffle from iron. The waffle should hold together and have defined squares.
- Top waffle with butter pat. Arrange fried chicken on top.
- Drizzle with maple syrup, garnish with scallions and sesame seeds. Add hot sauce if desired.
